Sometime in 2014, Pastor Steve McAlister asked me to pray about leading a Spanish outreach ministry for my home church, Grace Life Church of the Shoals. After praying and meeting with Pastor Steve and some other men, we decided to start having services in Spanish on Sunday mornings for the Hispanic community living in the Shoals area.
These churches were established after years of sending mission journey teams from Grace Life Church of the Shoals to this unreached people group. Grace Life has been recognized as the first Southern Baptist Church to reach a people group without the aid of an established missionary in the region.
Grace Life Church of Pinedale began in the hearts of three families who have a desire to see Christ glorified. These families were brought together in March of 2013 and began worshiping, praying, and seeking guidance from the Lord on how they could best serve Him.
had been listening to and learning from Anchored in Truth’s broadcasts and resources since 2007. In 2014 I was able to attend the True Church Conference on “The Spirit-Empowered Church.” About a month later I requested information about Anchored in Truth’s church planting process via the web page and they took it from there.
In 2007, five families left a church we were attending (Mennonite church). When we left that church we had no idea where to go or even what we were looking for. But we knew there was more to living for Christ and impacting our families, communities, and the world for his Glory. We struggled for a year trying to find ourselves when a friend introduced us to Grace Life Church of the Shoals.
Formerly Pryor Creek Community Church, was planted on January 10th 1999. Pastor Derek Melton, a veteran police officer, had been laboring in the gospel with at-risk teenagers since 1991 and the church plant was in response to the call of God and the need of a local church that would be true to the gospel and love the unlovable

Grace Life Church of Ankeny was started out of a few families that would get together and pray and study about various Scriptural truths that they were learning and not seeing lived out in their current church or in the area where they lived as well.
