For some years now I have had the blessing and privilege of participating in church planting. In a context where fifteen years ago people talked mainly about churches closing, I have had the joy of seeing people begin to discuss, promote, and celebrate the idea of church planting, and in many cases, engage in church planting itself.
At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.” – Luke 10:21
And let us arise and go up to Bethel, and I will make an altar there to God, who answered me in the day of my distress and has been with me wherever I have gone.
Then they said to Moses, “Is it because there were no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you dealt with us in this way, bringing us out of Egypt? Is this not the word that we spoke to you in Egypt, saying, ‘Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’?
