Kevin Millard – Brazil
August 7, 2019
Hello from Brazil!
We are enjoying our “winter” season here with cooler weather (50’s at night, 70’s during the day). We had a busy July and wanted to share a little of what went on. So thankful for those of you who pray for us and the work among the Portuguese speaking world!
Kevin was in Mozambique for the annual Fiel Conference for Pastors and Leaders in the city of Maputo, July 12-13. We had about 200 participants at this year’s conference (photo) as we looked at the Attributes of God. Many of the men who are active in the Adopt a Pastor program were present and received their monthly books (photo).
Deborah’s Summer Course in NYC
Our daughter received a scholarship to participate in a summer course at Fordham Law School in New York City. She spent three weeks there in July and received a nice certificate. She met other students from around the world and had the opportunity to see many of the main attractions in the city (photo). She had a wonderful time, learned a lot, but we are glad she is back home safely!

VBS in Brazil!
We just finished a week of Vacation Bible School here in our city of São José dos Campos. During the week of July 22-28, we hosted a group from Grace Life Church of the Shoals, Alabama, who helped us conduct three VBS events in five days! At each event we had about 30 children who did crafts, played games and heard the gospel our Lord Jesus. It was a busy week, but a blessed one as over a hundred children, teens and adults heard the Good News.
* Ministry transition from Fiel/Adopt a Pastor to Anchored in Truth (AIT). Right now we are involved in a little of both!
* AIT Key Leaders event here in Brazil, scheduled for September 10-12.
* Added reponsibilities for Kevin at the local church where we serve, as the Lead Pastor goes on sabbatical.

OTHER SUPPORTED CHURCH AND MISSIONARIES
These churches were established after years of sending mission journey teams from Grace Life Church of the Shoals to this unreached people group. Grace Life has been recognized as the first Southern Baptist Church to reach a people group without the aid of an established missionary in the region.
After hearing Pastor Jeff Noblit’s preaching on the Internet, Josh Tancordo decided to move down to Grace Life Church of the Shoals to serve as a summer intern.
Blake was raised in a Christian home that taught him the importance of the gospel and the local Church and he came to believe on Christ for salvation at the age of 9.
